The transition of the account to MyGov in May 2013 did not impact greatly on visitor numbers. People are increasingly visiting the site to gain access to a range of government information.

There has been a strong increase in both tablet and mobile use, particularly since the implementation of responsive design on the site in November 2013.  Approximately 35% of visitors to are using a mobile or tablet to access the site.

What are the most popular pages on The consolidated lists of Public holidays and School term dates. These are created by the team from dates provided by state and territory governments. All Australian public holidays in one place!  Since the inclusion of social media icons on the site in November, sharing of content has been popular and is steadily increasing. The most shared page is the Public holidays page through Facebook and Google Plus.  

So, as well as providing access to government information and services delivered by other agencies, continues to monitor what visitors are searching for and the technologies they are using and, if no other agency is providing this information in the format required, we seek to fill the gap.

This week we've published our first three datasets about usage on These datasets show month by month statistics for December 2013 to February 2014 on the total number of visits, the total number of pageviews, how long visitors stayed on the site, how many pages they viewed and whether they came via their desktop, mobile or tablet.
